Leave the national road at the Spili/Tymbaki exit and follow the road to Spili. Pass through Spili and continue for another 4 kilometres. Turn right just past a petrol station – filling your tank here is advisable – signposted to Kerames and Agia Fotini. From here the taverna is well signposted. Follow this road until you come out of the village of Vatos where there is a right hand turn up the mountain. Although not signposted this is a short cut to Kerames and Agia Fotini. When you reach the top of this road turn right and continue down the mountain through Drimiskos until you reach Kerames. Directly after the sign welcoming you to Kerames turn right and follow the road around the bend and continue on down the tarmac road to where the road forks. Take the left fork and follow the road to the end.
If you are coming from Plakias, you can take the tarmac road via Spili or for the more adventurous there are very good quality tracks passable by normal car or bike. Head out towards Lefkogia and Preveli, turn right after Lefkogia and then left over the river. The road at first follows the river and then begins to climb the mountain. You will then come to a junction where you have a choice of routes. Through the mountain via the traditional village of Drimiskos with its kafenion and plateia in the shade of a great plane tree, or down through ‘Swallow Canyon’ to a beach and along the coast road. This road hugs the beach most of the way, and then heads inland for a short distance, where it becomes tarmaced. When you reach a junction, turn left and shortly after, turn right to Agia Fotini

Due to the unspoilt, remote location of the taverna we can't always read and respond to emails so please call if you haven't had a reply.
